TROQUEER PRIMARY SCHOOL, HILL AVENUE/PLEASANCE AVENUE, DUMFRIES DG2 7LR
Project consisted of the following:
- Due to the location of the newly constructed school directly adjacent to the old school the project presented a number of challenges including the protection of the new roof and newly laid services which ran into the demolition site.
- After the initial site set up and soft strip a scaffold was erected over the roof of the new school to allow access for our operatives to hand demolish around the new roof to prevent it from any damage.
- With the hand held demolition complete safely around the new school the excavators were utilised to demolish the remainder of the school.
- Due to the location to the newly laid services in the corner of the site it was agreed the slab would be left in place.
All materials removed from site by our own transport division.
