Sunderland Royal Hospital Transport Building, Tyne & Wear
Project involved:
- Meeting with client prior to any commencement of works to explain demolition plan and method for approval.
- Erection of site exclusion zones and signage along with welfare facilities
- Protection of roads and footpaths (where necessary) with specific attention paid to an adjacent service duct identified at pre start and tender stage
- Soft strip of buildings
- Removal of notifiable and non-notifiable asbestos according to Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006
- Mechanical demolition of buildings including where required hand separation due to close proximity of the building to the road
- Breaking up of concrete floor slab level and grubbing up of foundations as stipulated by client.
- Removal of all demolition arisings to our own recycling centres.
- Capping off drainage as required
- Reinstatement of bitumen macadam surfacing to existing temporary levels and finish as detailed in the specification of works by our appointed sub contractor..
- Removal of plant and equipment from site for handover back to the client.
