We were appointed to undertake the demolition of the redundant process buildings and the remediation of the site following the demolition.
The scope of the remediation incorporated
- Demolition of the identified process buildings which were redundant and surplus to operational needs ; demolition to ground level followed by the break out of slabs and foundations.
- Heavy manufacturing plant to remain open during demolition.
- Constant dust suppression and restricted working hours.
- The site was heavily contaminated from manufacturing processes and the decision was taken by the client to opt for removal from site.
- We removed 45.000 m3 of materials which was subject to regular chemical analysis as the works were progressed.
- On completion of demolition and materials removal we compacted and regarded the site in accordance with the clients requirements. Part of the project also required the construction of carpark and landscaping of site.
