- Project involved the demolition of the concrete one & two storey school.
- Site set up & fulltime security
- Soft strip and removal of internal school furnishings which had strewn all over due to vandalism.
- Removal and disposal of hazardous chemicals left behind by school.
- Every room within the School contained AIB to the skylights meaning 36 enclosures were erected.
- Once the asbestos was removed the building was demolished using x2 excavators including all slabs and foundations. Upon works on the slab several areas of AIB were discovered which was present within the floor ducts (not identified on type 3 surveys).
- After negotiations with the HSE it was agreed that we would erect external enclosures over the ducts. All asbestos was passed by an independent analyst allowing the reminder of the demolition to be completed to the complete satisfaction of the client.
