The O’Brien Group have vast experience of working on Hospital projects whether it being refurbishment, partial or complete demolition . Our knowledge extends to all types of constructions including concrete framed, timber framed, steel framed or traditional methods of brick, stone and block work.
Some of the processes required during the projects include:
- Asbestos removal
- Controlled hand demolition including adjacent live areas
- Soft stripping
- Scaffold erection
- Complete demolition and waste management
- Site clearance including crushing / screening of materials

Control methods against fungus infection such as aspergillus spores. Control measures we have adopted include sealing off areas so they are airtight, dust suppression, extraction, sealing of containers / skips, monitoring of air etc.
Where works are carried out in live Hospitals careful planning and liaison is essential to ensure the safety of the staff, patients and public is maintained at all times. As part of our service our appointed project co-ordinator will ensure regular liaison is made with all parties through letters, pre start and project meetings. It is our aim is to ensure complete piece of mind for all involved.

All works are completed under the complete control of the qualified site manager working to site specific method statements and risk assessments prepared by the safety department .
